I went to Vicky's, did laundry, sprayed air freshner everywhere because it smelled like cat (eww, I dislike that apple shit), watched The Boleyn Girl--haven't decided if I liked it or not. Team Mary, here. Then kinda scrubbed floor which had spots. I figured, Vicky did it already, and if it didn't come off for her, then it sure as shit wasn't coming off for me, even if I applied pressure. Took everything out of apartment, including huge box of cleaning supplies (plus trashbags! Yay, am not going to the store to buy them, V) and put them on my trunk to open the door. Well, when I took it off my trunk it scraped the shit out of it. *annoyed sigh*

Nothing that has been done to that car has been done by me. The bumper has scrapes on it from another car, the hood is banged up because I lived on South Johnson Street (which, if you knew SoJo, means that there are house parties galore and people like to trash things). I was stupid and didn't report it. So, I drive a nice car, but ugly one due to it's beatings.

Which brings me to my next annoyance. Tuesday I am eating at Culvers with V and Dan before we go pack and I get a phone call. This woman asks if I remember signing up for the car in the mall. I'm going HOLY SHIT I won a CAR! Then she starts this speech on a free vacation to Milwakee or some shit and doesn't that sound nice. So I play along, waiting for the punch line. She finally gets to it after 5 minutes. Are you over 25? No. Oh.... do you know anyone that might be interested? No. Oh. Well, I'll put you back in for the car, then. Thanks. *hangs up* Stupid bint. I had dreams for a few seconds of selling both cars and getting a prius.

Also forgot to mail things. *grumble* Will do it tomorrow on the clock.

Am getting so damned bored it isn't funny. Don't like living alone, I can tell this. I realize that though I do not talk to roommate very much, he was nice to have around for the "hellos" and "goodbyes". To know that he were there in case I *wanted* to talk was nice. Also read a thing in Marie Claire (thank God that subscription is almost over. Hate that magazine) today at work that was written by Kelly from the Office that was about living alone. She said that she used to keep a bottle of water near her bed at night, because if you drank more water, you would lose weight. So, she went to sleep and woke up to a gun shot and pissed herself.

Except it wasn't a gunshot. It was the plastic in the water bottle popping back out. LOL Living alone makes you that afraid.

Was also an article with Rainn Wilson in it and another with Maggie Gyllenhaal. This month wasn't so bad, I guess. I am a big fan of MG. She rocks.

Listened to old music today, The Go Find, the Killers, Red Hot Chili Peppers. Then I finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. Really helps pass the time. The Go Find, oh it's incredible. Seriously. If anyone's interested, comment and I'll see about getting it to you. Everyone that I know that listens to it thinks that Ice Cold Ice is an awesome song, and RANDOM a good one to have sex to. I could see it. Love it.

Vicky: *shows me the carebear bandaids on her boob* I burnt myself.
Me: *starts laughing... ponders* Were you NAKED?!
Vicky: ... yes. I was CLEANING! I clean naked and i was baking a cake!

Wow. That is all.

Oh, you know a boy's gay when he has a PINK TERRYCLOTH polo shirt. hehhehehe Oh, roommate....

Every once in a while he buys stuff like that. Otherwise he is pretty boy-ish. It always astounds me when he does stuff like this, it just doesn't seem like him to like it. I mean, PINK!

Silly kid left gum inside of his pockets while doing laundry. I had to get it out of the dryer for him and just laughed. No damage seems to be done, but... *shakes head*

That's two for two for Tommie today.

MWHAHAHAHAHA! I love Robert Downey Jr. hehhehe "It'll do... till Dark Knight comes out. Christian Bale would kick your ass."
"I've got priors so I'm gonna roll. I've got a record... " HEHE

I tried to find more, but got distracted. Ps- there was a scene from Twilight shown there too (not in the clip, but in MTV). It was awesome. Cedric was HOT. (Can't remember his given name at the moment. *is bad*)

And can I just say that the people who won half of the awards in that MTV thing didn't really deserve it? Johnny Depp, while amazing, should not have won for best comedic performance. Ummm, Superbad and Knocked up and all the actors from that were hilarious. Not to mention that I REALLY REALLY wanted Javier Bardem to win villain. I know Johnny Depp probably deserved that one, but  I thought Javier was awesome too.  The Best Fight and Best Movie and other such awards were ridiculous. Ugh.

And why am I surprised? That award show has sucked for YEARS. But Robert Downey Jr. was awesome.

(I am watching it quickly online.. I like award shows cause I like to see what movies I should netflix. *shrug* There is a movie coming out called pineapple express! HEHE Starring Seth Rogen and James Franco) it was funny, they pretended to lit a 'joint' up and the camera zoomed FAR away. It was funny, to me anyway, that they didn't show them up close.

The best thing I think besides RDJ was the Wayne's World skit. I missed that.

Yeah, I know that was a rather large ramble, but I got bored. Deal.

So, my Mom and Uncle didn't end up picking me up until 4:30. Meh. Watched The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Brad Pitt, Casey Affleck, Mary Louise-Parker, Zooey Deschanel, and Sam Rockwell. Pretty good, but almost 3 hours. Slow too. The cinematography was great, as was the soundtrack and acting.

So, we went to Red Lobster, where I ate too much. Don't like fish, so ate crappy popcorn shrimp which is the only thing I sorta liked. These sucked, so I ate a potato and Asparagas and the HUGE appetizer my uncle ordered. My mom's side of the family were raised where if you went out to eat, don't hold yourself back. Try what you want. Expensive, and my dad (and me) nearly pass out watching them do it.

Had margaritas, and my mom was like, "MAL! You lush (even though she ordered a huge one as well)! Pretty soon you will be on the bar dancing away!"

Which brings me to my icon. You got it, I started singing Bennie and the Jets. hehe.

Woke up at 6 this morning, great time. Had to work at Ramp 4(which smelled AWFUL. The full-timer's name is Smithers. Why am I surprised?) Also got pictures of a VERY peculiar part of the booth:

Okay. Caught up on the flist (minus the 25 scenes from Caliga. ::sigh:: It's going to be a while for that. Need to write papers and such).

Pretty much wanted to tell funny story before I forget, videos and pictures of trip will come later.

Here is dialogo(because I can't remember English spelling):

Uncle: *hears knock on hotel door and goes to open it* YOU SON OF A BITCH.
*sees that it is maid delivering towels*
Uncle: Erm... sorry, I thought you were my sister...
Maid: (Asian) Thousand pardons... *bows and runs away*
the rest of the family: *dies*

I should mention that my uncle and my mother have a strange relationship. They call each other SOB's all the time, and various other names. All lovingly, it is hilarious though when they answer the phone say SOB and then have it be someone else. hehe. So the rest of the trip he was convinced that the Asian mafia were out to get him. Hilarious. We called him today and left a message saying that we intercepted a comunique(sp?) that said that the Asian Mafia were coming to get him at 7 in the morning.

Which ties into my other Uncle story.

He likes to sleep in till 12 (on vacation). So, my dad was waking us up and making plans for 8am. He said this(hand to God): What god did we offend? Why are we waking up so goddamn early?

I should also mention that this is the Uncle that is a priest. Ah.... Love the man. HILARIOUS. He also bought a statue of Ah-munrah(egyptian god). Thought it was cool, so he did. Now is convinced that people are going to shun him. So I told him to say that I told him to buy it for me. *shrugs* He has already been punished by the church(for a homily that was too long at his FATHER's funeral) and other stuff. This could be the last straw. They are a bit ridiculous.

Oh! and a meme taken from [info]firestar28

Shots fired! Shots fired!

That's what this guy did on the radio yesterday. Hilarious. Public safety was like, "ermm..... should we respond?"

Clancy was just kidding of course. He is something else. He locked himself out of the IMU ramp once, and had to climb in through the window. I'm in the IMU ramp right now, and let me tell you, that is no easy feat. Especially with the broken leg he had. He said he had to climb onto the person's car to get in. hehehe

I am so tired. The kid I had this morning ran everywhere. I had to run after and pick him up and bring him back to where we were. Tiring. So of course I brought caffeine free pop with me. stupid.

need to read for spanish (which I have decided to half-ass read for. No translating, am just going to read through it, and if I don't get it, I don't get it. There are no tests and probably not a lot of quizes, so I am not worried. Too much to do, you know?) Probably doesn't help that it is a spanish version of Alice and wonderland.... going to be hard anyway. I don't care. graduating in less than a month.

Riverfest is here(no idea what that is, all I know is I'm going to be busy.). Have to go to art museum tomorrow, hopefully my painting is there, and not some stupid other exhibit.

Need to do 2 powerpoint presentaciones, 5 papers, group stuff... and there is more, I can't think of it though.

Starting tomorrow(I mean Monday. So tired.), I can buy my cap and gown.

Okay, two things.

Alright 3. One being small. Tommie is hogging the tv, so I am stuck in bedroom with 13''. No big deal, but a person gets used to him not being here ever.

2. Made an icon. ::grins and points:: I LOVE IT. When I saw the picture of Ben Affleck whispering in John Krasinski's ear, I had to make it.

So, here is the video if you don't get it. It starts at 2 minutes, but watch the whole thing and you will understand it even more. hehe

3. My 5 year reunion is in June, and guess where they are having it? Circle Tap. A bar in Davenport that has to be one of the shittiest red neck bars ever. Way to be tacky class of 2003. Lame.

EDIT: OMG, this looks awesome, just because of Ralph Fiennes. LISTEN to that accent!!!!!

SO today I come out of my room to take a shower and see all of Tommie's art supplies flung around the living room. Then I see an extra pair of shoes and a pair of boxer briefs flung across Tommie's laptop that is sitting on one of the tables.

hehehe

That is all.

Yay! 2 posts in 1 day!!!!

::clears throat::

So! I cleared out my stuff in the kitchen, sans the mini fridge, the recycling and the mop and broom. My stuff is done. What's funny about this? Tommie spent HOURS last night doing it, and he didn't get even halfway done. Me? An hour an a half and am practically done. Seriously. That includes the huge bookshelf and side tables and lamps. ::nods:: he is SLOW. It probably doesn't help that he did one thing, sat down, did another sat down... and so on and so forth. Me? Once I get on task, I finish it. ::shrugs:: Maybe that's a fault.

Problem is, EVERYTHING is in my bedroom. I have NO room. Half tempted to call V and ask if I can come over a night early, but she has a paper to write, so I won't. I will survive.

Funny note: I found a drawer I have never seen before in my kitchen. Hrm. Right next to the sink, in plain view. Contained potatoes and onions... apparently Tommie didn't fail in seeing this.  And thought of a cool place to hid money just in case I was into that. You know, it's a little more clever than a mattress.

I have nothing to do tonight. I thought I would spend the night clearing the kitchen. I bet I am going to be sucked into helping tommie... and LOST IS ON!!!!! But, I can't watch it, because me and V are going to wait until tomorrow. Dang. You're killing me, smalls!!!!!

10 March 2008 @ 12:19 pm
So, I slept in 15 minutes today, drove to class and got there early enough to print off my paper for class (since my cartridge is SERIOUSLY empty). THEN, I watched a movie and it is adorable. It is called the postman (in spanish, I don't remember the spanish title) and it has this dorky postman who rides his bike to give 1 man his mail everyday. The one guy gets tons of mail because he is a famous poet, Pablo Neruda, who I have read in my OTHER class. Then I went to said other class where my teacher had bagels and we watched another movie, La lengua de los mariposas (the tongues of the butterflies). Another movie that is very adorable, but I have a feeling I am going to cry in the end. We read the short story already, so I know what happens.

So then I got gas, went to the post office and mailed the security deposit for the new apartment, came home and am watching Buffy till I go to work at 2. Pretty easy day. Tomorrow should be good too, I have basically nothing due then either.

So Sam was over the other night. Pretty much, he came to IC to do a project with a friend for some Youth Rally or something, I've no idea. Then I tried to set up the computer they brought which was my dad's, but my dad has some weird internet things, I couldn't get it. So I left them, got lunch and went to work where I had the most interesting encounter with a foriegn indian guy. He walked up to my window and was like,

guy: I used my card to get in, because I was distracted by Michael Jackson. Am I going to get in trouble?
me: Ummm.... what lot is the card for? Did you take a ticket?
guy: no I didn't, I have a permit for lot 8. It is Michael's fault. I was too busy listening to him, that I used my card instead of taking a ticket. What should I do?
me: *calls office, consults with them* Umm, drive your car around and then repark, so that we don't get confused with this later.
guy: Ok. ::does this::

later-

Guy pulls up again BLARING micheal jackson.
guy: See? He distracts me...

hehe. Reminded me of Three Kings when the guy is talking to Mark Wahlberg and he is talking of Michael Jackson.

so, then I got off work, called Sam and he was driving to the mall in Coralville to drop girl off with her dad. So, I get a ride home from Tommie(who works there as a driver) and wait and wait and wait for Sam. Around 8 he calls and says he is lost. So I give him directions and 20 minutes later, he comes. After we get foods we watched Interview with the Vampire, where I described everything that was wrong in the movie, and how it should be, how vampires were created and so on and so forth. Then we were going to play the Alias PS2 game, (hey, shut up! that's our thing, we LOVE it.) but we got tired and decided to watch the last 2 episodes of the second season instead. Then we went to bed and he ended up leaving around 8 to go to church in Dport around 9. Yikes! So he brought me tea from Starbucks since he works there. I don't really like coffee, so he is insistent that I try the tea, which I already loved. ::grins:: So I told him he should come up again in the summer, maybe bring Caleb, my youngest brother, and we can do the same/wander around. I have 2 couches, one a love seat, which is PERFECT sized for my younger brother.

Ah. I'm rambling. Also listening to Restless suite from Buffy. ::grins at [info]dream_mancer  :: Awesome song.

NEW KITCHEN IN A WEEK!!!!!! Now I just have to bring EVERYthing in there in my room. (That's mine anyway. the rest goes in Tommie's room.)

Am on to season 5 of Buffy. Guess what I saw? This is Andrew as the vampire Cyrus. hehehe. It is from the Harmony episode of the 5th season, 5x02. Oh, I laugh.

I had a really bad dream with Riley Finn in it last night. Like awful. He was really creepy. I knew I never liked him.

So I am in the 5th season of Buffy, and Dawn is in it now. Ugh. It's like they tried really hard to make her as annoying as they possibly could. I hate Michelle Tractenberg because of this. Although her role as a skanky Britney Spears-ish singer on Six Feet Under kinda made me like her a little. It was pretty interesting.

And can I say WOOT! It is like 50 degrees out. We have the windows open and everything. (I opened Tommie's widows to air out his room. Hopefully it helps.)

So I have a midterm this week, another one next week, and I am sorta worried about them. They are kinda hard to study for, because they are kinda unclear. So tonight I am going to read all the Spanish poetry that we've had so far, do whatever I have do for escritura creativa, and maybe a scene between Lavender and Simone.

ugh. Just made soup. I thought I bought Chicken Noodle, but apparently I bought some disgusting vomit looking creamy crap. I made it, tasted it, and almost got sick myself. So I threw it outside, since we don't have garbage disposal (I am not kidding when I say it looked like vomit. Someone is going to think someone got sick all over the snow), and I looked in Tommie's cabinet, and he also had a weird variation of Chicken Noodle, although it was more of what I wanted, so I made it. It's okay. I just wish they would label them correctly. How am I supposed to know creamy is different from homestyle or whatever is the other kind? What's wrong with the normal kind? Why can't people be happy with that? ::sigh:: Am sick of buying stuff and figuring out it is not what I meant to buy.

Sorry for the soup rant. I am just a little grossed out by Campbell's today.
